Version 2.0.0 of LiveTiles Intranet Workspaces has been released.

This version brings a major update which requires some manual steps on the admin's behalf.

Update steps:

Remove the Workspaces webpart from the SharePoint page(s) that it has been added to
Remove the Workspaces SharePoint app from the site collection(s) that it has been added to
Remove it from the Recycle Bin and Second Stage Recycle Bin
Remove the Workspaces SharePoint app from the app catalog
Remove it from the Recycle Bin and Second Stage Recycle Bin
Add the new Workspaces SharePoint app to the app catalog
Deploy it
Add the Workspaces SharePoint app to the desired site collection(s)
Add the Workspaces webpart to the desired page(s)

Improvements

Workspace metadata deletion can now be stopped via the validationResults property in a webhook response
Added the option to choose the default language when creating Workspace
A Workspace title or URL can now contain a richer set of characters

Fixes

Fixed an issue where GroupOwners and GroupMembers fields on GROUP#0 workspaces could not be edited
Fixed several issues with assigning permissions to groups

(Re-) Deploy on desired site collections

Among other minor fixes and improvements, this release includes the following items:

Added class names to Hub elements for easier styling in customization projects
The widget titles are displayed on the widgets when the page is in edit mode
Improvements to the titles of cards from the search results
Search boxes can be hidden in the view all overlays using the hideSearchBox property on the OpenOverlayActionButtonConfig
Recurring events are now marked with a descriptive icon

As this version brings important changes to how styling the Intranet Hub works, some class names that were added to DOM elements a long time ago have been updated in order to adhere to the new naming convention(lthub-<className>). If you have referenced these classes in your custom CSS, please update them to the new name as the old names are deprecated and will be removed from the product in the future. More classes will be migrated to the new naming scheme in the future.

End of Support for Internet Explorer 11

In coordination with Microsoft's announcement to discontinue support for the Internet Explorer 11 browser for M365 as of August 17, 2021, we will also discontinue support for this browser for the cloud versions of LiveTiles Reach and Intranet Hub as of August 17, 2021.
