Tabs Widget

Overview

The Tabs Widget provides functionality to add multiple Components to one widget, each in it's own tab. This widget is introduced with version 3.2.0. Apart from the Hero Widget all previous widget (Slider, Schedule, Content Items, Markup) can now be used as a tab in this web part. This enables customers to create their intranet in a more flexibel way and combine a schedule view, a Markup Tab and some content items all in one widget.

Configuration

Together with the Tabs Widget a new configuration type has been introduced. This enables customers to configure widgets in an easy way. We will be constantly adding new configuration types here. Behind the scenes, we will transform these simple configurations to Web Part configurations, that are then used to populate the UI. In other words: If something is not possible with this new type of configurations, you can fallback to an implementation of an IWebPartConfig where you have the full flexibility.

At the moment following configurations are supported:

• Yammer Feed
• Twitter Feed
• SharePoint Items
• SharePoint Media Slider

Next to the above configurations, all other widget/webpart configurations can be used to:

• Content Items
• Markup
• Schedule
• Slider
• Timezone
